If you were between the age of 4 and 16 in the past ten years and you’re a girl or the parent of said child, you might recognize Paolo as the Prince in the ABC/Disney TV movie “Cinderella”. If you’re a guy between the age of 16 and 30, into video games, Paolo is best known as Kung Lao in the syndicated TV series “Mortal Kombat: Conquest.” If you attend NY theater, you may remember him in his big break carrying a torch on Broadway in “The King and I” and understudying Lun Tha. He also co-starred as Manjiro in the revival of Sondheim’s “Pacific Overtures” and Eglamour in “Two Gentlemen of Verona” at the Delacorte. His work has brought him across the US in “Man of La Mancha” and “Cinderella”, to Australia shooting “The Great Raid” with James Franco, and to Transylvania with “The Romance of Magno Rubio”. Recent credits include Tigellinus in the concert reading of the new Sater/Sheik musical “Nero” (New York Stage and Film); and Ta in the 50th year anniversary production of “Flower Drum Song” (American Musical Theater of San Jose). And for reasons still unbeknownst to him, he was selected as one of People magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People”. His friends still tease him about that.
