Jack W. Batman (Producer) began his New York career in the mail room at the William Morris Agency, Inc. After establishing and/or heading legitimate theatre departments for several mid-size theatrical agencies, Jack founded Theatrical Consultants, Ltd. And was casting director for over 200 Equity productions for Broadway, National tours and regional theatres. After a hiatus as one of a small team that founded and developed NYC’s sports and entertainment playground, Chelsea Piers, Jack returned to the professional theatre in2003and made his Broadway producing debut shortly thereafter with the romantic comedy, Enchanted April, starring Elizabeth Ashley and Molly Ringwald (2 Tony Nominations including Best Play and winner of 2 Outer Critics Circle Awards). For Off-Broadway, he produced Brian Dykstra: Cornered & Alone and the highly regarded environmental comedy Clean Alternatives, which then traveled to the Edinburgh Festival and won the top prize, the 2006Fringe First Award. Last winter his production of The Jesus Factor had a lengthy run Off-Broadway at the Barrow Street Theatre, and this spring he will present a limited engagement of Emmy Award winner Leslie Jordan in My Trip Down The Pink Carpet. In addition, Jack is a producer of GAYFEST NYC which brings new plays and musicals to Off-Broadway. His other recent NYC productions include 12iceshowsstarring Olympic and World figure skating champions; 46 major public events (450,000 attendance) for Chelsea Piers; and workshops including The School for Trophy Wives, a new play by Freyda Thomas (starring Anne Hathaway) and Joe Hortua’s Burning (co-produced with Kyra Sedgwick). Jack is Executive Producer/Artistic Director of the White Plains Theater Institute.
