Rachel de Benedet (Countess Charlotte Malcolm) recently appeared in the world premiere production of Turn of the Century, a new musical directed by the legendary Tommy Tune in Chicago and spent 9 months playing “Guenevere” on the National Tour of Camelot opposite Lou Diamond Phillips as “King Arthur.”  On Broadway, she played “Muriel” in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels opposite both John Lithgow and Jonathan Pryce, “Diana” in Nine with Antonio Banderas, and in The Sound of Music in which she also toured as “Elsa” opposite Richard Chamberlain and won the JUDY Award for her performance.  Off Broadway, she created the roles of “Lureena” in Christopher Durang and Peter Melnick’s Adrift in Macao at Primary Stages (winning the Barrymore Best Actress Award for the original Philadelphia Theatre Company production) and “Lisa Duvall” in Tom Rowan’s new play The Second Tosca at the 45th St. Theatre.  Her regional credits include “Alexa Vere de Vere” in As Bees in Honey Drown for the Arvada Center (Denver Drama Critics’ Circle Award),  “Lilli/Kate” in Kiss Me, Kate at North Shore Music Theatre (IRNE Award Nom.) “Anna” in The King and I for Ogunquit Playhouse (opposite Lorenzo Lamas,) “Elvira” in Blithe Spirit at Riverside Theatre, “Fiona” in Brigadoon and “Nancy” in Oliver! for Theatre Under the Stars, “Florence” in Chess for Stage One, “Lily” in The Secret Garden at the Arvada Center (DDCC Award), “Milady de Winter” in 3hree Musketeers for American Musical Theatre of San Jose, “Milly” in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers at Sacramento Music Circus, winning the Audience Favorite Award. Her recordings include the newly released Adrift in Macao, 3hree Musketeers, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Nine, and Carols for a Cure 2003, 2005 & 2006.
